I remember switching the channel from cartoons to food network whenever good eats (and unwrapped) was on. I learned so much from your show, even as a child. I never felt like my intelligence was being disrespected. The nostalgia of memories from so long ago is bittersweet. Thank you for inspiring people. Good Eats is just as fun to watch, even now that im 29. ❤

Harold and Kumar go to white castle came out when I was in jr. high. There were no white castles near me and my buddy and I were obsessed with getting one at the time. Finally when we were in college we were in NYC one night and we saw one. We got a shit ton, went back to our friends place and ate. After the first bite we both just put down the burger and were like, wtf? Worst burgers we've ever had. They were gross and to add insult to injury they were expensive. We could have gotten some legitimately good burgers for how much we spent. Fuck steamed burgers.

The grilled cheese reminds me of a "drunk" video where they had a big chiunk of cheddar roasting in front of the hearth and sliced/smeared it off as it became available. Old school and simply decadent.

You were the only one who taught us the truth of all the B.S. concerning washing mushrooms (decades of misinformation) and water retention, etc. I always trust your judgement and use it as a ruler in reference to any and all other recipe up-and-comers.

Good Eats was/is a very refreshing take on a cooking show. I still enjoy it to this day.

I did use the Smucker's Natural Peanut Butter, with just peanuts and salt. It worked great, and the oil never separated after it was made. If y'all want to use healthier peanut butter, I recommend it.
